I am a ex-PhD Student in Microbiology from Nottingham University. I handed in my Thesis and passed my Viva at the end of 2016!

I am currently managing a Doctoral Training programme for PhD students so am still involved in the highs and lows of carrying out a PhD.

Now I have slightly more free time I am interested in the wider impact of research, science communication and evidence based policy. A large part of this blog is documenting my experience of writing a PhD Thesis with tips I learnt along the way.
